5 Reasons why you will need a solicitor
Posted: Aug 13, 2008 | Category: Family Law, Moving Home, SolicitorsMost people in their lives will need a solicitor at some point. Some people may not realise that they need a solicitor if they are, for example, moving house or writing a will.
To help you out here are 5 reasons why you would need a solicitor.
The first possible reason is Civil Litigation, in other words, trying to resolve a private or public legal dispute. If you are the target of a lawsuit and you need the law behind you, a solicitor is the best way to help you.
The second reason is Conveyancing. Buying or selling a house can be a real challenge, but buy getting a solicitor you can make sure that you’re not missing a thing, they can offer advice on surveys, valuations, deposits, estate agents and much more.
The next reason is Family Law, this covers all sorts, including, divorce, custody battles and financial problems. If you’re struggling with any other these problems it’s sometimes hard to sort them out yourself, this is where a solicitor comes in, they can help fight your battles for you and get the best result.
The penultimate reason is Personal Injury. Any type of injury can cost you different things. It could cause you to have time off work, intense pain or financial loss. A solicitor can help you to gain compensation from the person who caused this injury. Some solicitors work on a ‘no win no fee’ basis, making this service better for the injured customer.
The final reason is Wills and Trusts. If you want to ensure that your loved one are protected after your death, or to make sure your assets go to the people you want. Sometimes these legal documents can be confusing, a solicitor can help you make sure everything is sorted, from setting out if one of your beneficiaries were to die before you do, to at what age you want your children to inherit your assets.
All of the above situations can be very difficult to handle on your own, a solicitor can help you with all your legal battles and ensuring you get what is yours.
There are many solicitor firms out there, finding a good one can be a challenge itself, but in the law business, experience is gold.
One Sussex solicitors firm I would recommend is Bennett Griffin, they have over 40 years of experience and can help you with all of the situations above plus many more, including business problems, all in a professional manner.

One common mistake is that people underestimate the need for at least a consultation with a solicitor. Most offer obligation free consults and their advice can help you make some very important decisions.
