It is safe to say that the Christmas period is well and truly over and with all of those January bills finally paid off (hopefully) it is time to spend some money on the home getting all those new kitchen accessories in place and making the place look nice and clean for the Spring.

In fact I have the pleasure of conducting my first and only spring clean this year on my bedroom this weekend. Because of fact I am always working I rarely get time to tidy it so this weekend I thought I would book a slot in my busy schedule to simply clean the place up.
Along with this I am going to be looking into a lot of other products for my home from tableware to other home furnishings that really need to be updated. Although it is not going to be the most exciting of weekends it has to be done at some point.
So now that Spring has arrived make sure you take a long, hard look at the home to see if it is need of a good old fashioned Spring Clean.

With a reasonable warm weather start of this year, I thought I will give you some tips on how to maintain your swimming pools. I am just kidding about the warm weather by the way, although it is warmer here in the UK than Edmonton, Canada.
It never hurts to start early so those expected surprises cannot delay planned pool opening.
So while the swimming pool is closed for winter, here is what you can do, which will help make the spring opening quick and easy and hassle-free.
· Pump excessive water off the winter cover. Why? I don’t know, just do it, again just kidding – excessive water on the swimming pool covers can cause damage to the cover or cover can fall into the pool.
· Check pump room for any leakage.
· Do not pump off the water; just leave 2 to 3 inches of water on the cover to protect from wind damage.
· Do not move sheets of ice, this can do your pool liner some damage.
· Check swimming pool chemicals
· Ensure the pool water is still in pristine condition with no trace of algae.
· Open sand filters and check quality and level of the sand.
Before I finish just want to add something on caring for your pool in the winter:
Water tends to stay clear with very little help during the winter. I hardly ever see a pool turn green in the winter because algae does not appear, even if it does appear its build-up is extremely slow.
So to winterize the swimming pool, here is what you should do.
Add dose of chlorine one a week, oh and run the pump too. Vacuum once every 4 weeks under normal circumstances, this will keep your pool winterized.
Swimming pool maintenance can help prevent swimming pool problems and avoid water problems and enable you to enjoy your pool in the spring as soon as the warmer weather arrives.

Furnishing is something that everyone has to get involved with and when it comes to the home it becomes especially important.

Moving Out?
If you are planning on selling your home then putting in a few extra bits of furniture could really help you out. Although you may be taking a lot of it with you it just looks a bit better when there is a potential buyer in the home.
The kitchen is a very important part of the house to anyone looking to come in and buy the place. This is why it should always be the top of your list to put in some modern furniture.
Looking To Update The Place?
Decorating is a very stressful thing but once the room has been completed you can rest easy knowing that all your hard work has gone to a good use.
