General motors and other automotive companies are racing to get electric cars readily available to every house hold in UK. Toyota above any other car manufacturer is striving for the most costly solution to the electric car to purposly make it affordable for everyone. Toyota plans to bring a plug-in hybrid car to the market in 2010.

The plug-in will have new lithium-ion batteries and can be recharged from a home outlet. The main focus and drive behind the designs is to reduce the size of heavier battery packs and other electronic components in the vehicle. All of this extra weight will simply add to the cost!

The technology that Toyota are specifically testing will produce all the same results but with less cost! Perfect!!

Toyota are working intensely with a large electrical component supplier in the UK to achieve the most cost effective method of design.
